Define the QA scope

Name the model, levels, views, sheets or families being checked. A bounded scope makes results actionable and prevents a long report from obscuring the issues that matter.

Check information as well as geometry

Useful checks can cover missing data, naming inconsistencies, view and sheet organization, annotation coverage, family use and coordination relationships—not only whether lines appear in the right place.

Make exceptions explicit

A firm standard can have deliberate project exceptions. Reports should identify the rule, the affected element and the reason it was flagged, without silently changing project intent.

Close the loop with review

A resolved check is not automatically an issued drawing or approved model. Keep the proposed action, the result and the remaining human decisions visible to the project team.
